We live in an age where information flows faster than emotions.
Every answer is just a tap away, yet every conversation feels a little harder to start. Once, we spoke to learn and now, we Google to win. The joy of exchanging thoughts is quietly being replaced by the urgency to prove them.
Humanity’s oldest connection ‘the spoken word’ is slowly thinning out, drowned by screens, feeds, and the endless hum of algorithmic knowledge. Even our curiosity feels outsourced.
Interestingly, simulations of advanced intelligent life often depict beings with small mouths, or none at all. Perhaps in our own evolution toward “higher intelligence,” we’re unconsciously rehearsing the same silence. But intelligence without conversation is a cold kind of progress. Because the real beauty of knowing isn’t in what we know, but in how we share it.
Maybe it’s time we start speaking again, not to inform, but to connect!
Before I wrap up, I just have to share something that made my day extra special, my latest YouTube Short from the Hambel Belgaum Net organized daily on 40m 7.050 MHz, where I received a 59+++ report on SSB mode with my newly built antenna (click here to see images) and a 20W radio. Moments like these remind me that communication, in all its forms whether through voice, radio waves, or heartfelt words, still has the power to connect souls across distances.
Watch it here (or below) and feel the joy of pure signal, pure connect. Let’s keep the conversations flowing on-air and beyond. 💖 73s, DE VU2JDC
